Spin waves in antiferromagnetically coupled bimetallic oxalates.
Bimetallic oxalates are molecule-based magnets with transition-metal ions M(II) and M(')(III) arranged on an open honeycomb lattice. Performing a Holstein-Primakoff expansion, we obtain the spin-wave spectrum of antiferromagnetically coupled bimetallic oxalates as a function of the crystal-field angular momentum L(2) and L(3) on the M(II) and M(')(III) sites. Our results are applied to the Fe(I...
متن کاملNegative differential conductivity in far-from-equilibrium quantum spin chains
We show that, when a finite anisotropic Heisenberg spin-1/2 chain in the gapped regime is driven far from equilibrium, oppositely polarized ferromagnetic domains build up at the edges of the chain, thus suppressing quantum spin transport. As a consequence, a negative differential conductivity regime arises, where increasing the driving decreases the current. The above results are explained in t...
متن کاملSurface spin dynamics of antiferromagnetically coupled frustrated triangular films
Results are presented for spin-wave dispersions in geometrically frustrated stacked triangular antiferromagnets with a thin film or semi-infinite geometry having either zero, easy-plane, or easy-axis anisotropy. Surface effects on the equilibrium spin configurations and excitation spectrum are investigated for the case of antiferromagnetically coupled films, serving to extend previous results o...
متن کاملSpin chains from dynamical quadratic algebras
We present a construction of integrable quantum spin chains where local spin-spin interactions are weighted by “position”-dependent potential containing abelian non-local spin dependance. This construction applies to the previously defined three general quadratic reflection-type algebras: respectively non-dynamical, semidynamical, fully dynamical. e-mail: [email protected] e-mail: [email protected]...
متن کاملCorrelated Exciton Transport in Rydberg-Dressed-Atom Spin Chains.
We investigate the transport of excitations through a chain of atoms with nonlocal dissipation introduced through coupling to additional short-lived states. The system is described by an effective spin-1/2 model where the ratio of the exchange interaction strength to the reservoir coupling strength determines the type of transport, including coherent exciton motion, incoherent hopping, and a re...
